If your management team has been evaluating a new opportunity or considering how to address a recurring issue – maybe this is just the opportunity you’ve been looking for to bring a totally fresh perspective to bear on it.
One of the signature modules in DCU’s business Masters’ degrees is our Applied Consultancy Project. Our students are put in teams of 4 or 5 and are assigned to a client company challenge.
The teams are usually largely international and they bring diversity, energy, enthusiasm and newly learned business models, perspectives and frameworks to bear on client company issues.
Working on this Applied Consultancy Project is the ultimate form of challenge-based learning for the students. It generally acts as a capstone project where they are able to apply their diverse range of skills to either solve a problem or to unlock an opportunity.
What Kind of Projects?
Our students have studied a number of specialisms (such as Finance, Global Business, Digital Marketing etc) and we triage the right students to the appropriate challenge. Each student team will be working under the guidance of an experienced academic supervisor who will ensure that the quality of the work is high.Projects, in the past, have included private, public and third sector challenges. We are pleased to work with Business, Government (or Semi State) and Social Enterprise (or NGO’s).
